Descriptive paragraph:
I call it Home

After eight long years of separation from my hometown, Dipolog City, Philippines, I could still smell the salty air that filled around me on the clear water beach. The enlightening rays of light from the sunset blinds my eyes as i stare into the glistening calm water. The sight was so beautiful, I cannot help but smile. If only times like these could last forever. The sound of fluent Filipino coming from my garrulous family members, takes me back to the old memories of my childhood. I could smell the mouth watering sea food that allures me to the old restaurant located right beside the beach. Just over the horizon, the luminous sun starts to fall closer behind the ocean, almost touching. I observe my surroundings and lift my head high, gazing at the grayish blue sky containing smokey clouds with different shades of gray. The feeling of the cool breeze gives me chills and goosebumps that become visible on my highly sun-screened arms and legs. My feet touch the warm and wet sandy ground that squishes in between my toes. I was at peace. Looking back at the life that I had before, I remember all the times I attempted to build sand castles and bridges that always seemed to fail. In a distance, I watch the children laugh happily as they run towards each other and enjoying the moments that they had until the sun had completely set. With the crashing waves against the shore, splashes of water creeps into my mouth and the taste of bitter salt from the ocean disgust me. As the gentle water sweeps my sand covered feet, I take in another deep smell of this majestic town I call my home and suddenly, I was a little girl again.
